I’m thankful to God that such a person as Peggy Noonan is a conservative. She’s brilliant and an incredibly talented columnist. I feel like walking up to her some day, falling on the ground and doing that whole “Wayne’s World” routine of chanting, “I’m not worthy, I’m not worthy!”
Seriously, though, she has created yet another masterpiece of a column entitled Dem Problems, which, better than anything I’ve yet read, outlines exactly why the Democratic Party seems to be shaking itself apart. Not since the collapse of the Soviet government have I been so astounded by such events. Its anyone’s guess as to whether or not they’ll be able to pull themselves together, but if they sincerely want to, they should read this article and heed Ms. Noonan’s words.
I recommend you read every word.

This morning, while trying to negotiate traffic on Rt. 495 here in the Washington D. C. area, I had the opportunity to hear an interview with Senator Carl Levin (D-Mich.) on Doug Stephan’s “Good Day” radio program — 1050 on the AM dial in this area. Senator Levin started off in a reasonable manner; arguing that the intel around Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) program should be investigated. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very long before the political slant began to creep into the conversation.

Lets imagine that today is November 6, 2004. Tomorrow is the election and one of the nine current Democratic hopefuls has finally been chosen to run against Bush in this election. If I were to go to the polls tomorrow and vote Democrat, what would I be voting for?

What do Rush Limbaugh and I have in common? Actually, quite a few things when it comes to politics in general. Specifically, however, we both agree that this current tirade against the President by Democrats, which I wrote about in my article entitled, Democrats & The Art of The Double Standard, is yet another desperate attempt by the radical left wing to score points against the President. Rush’s article, Carl Levin’s Amnesia is excellent and shows exactly why this issue will soon lose its legs.

There are times when you have to obey a call which is the highest of all, i.e. the voice of conscience even though such obedience may cost many a bitter tear, and even more, separation from friends, from family, from the state to which you may belong, from all that you have held as dear as life itself. For this obedience is the law of our being.
–Mahatma Gandhi
And there comes a point when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor polite, nor popular, but he must take it because his conscience tells him that it is right.
-Martin Luther King, Jr.
There is no human institution but has its dangers. The greater the institution, the greater the chances of abuse. Democracy is a great institution and therefore it is liable to be greatly abused. The remedy therefore is not avoidance of democracy but reduction of the possibility of abuse to a minimum.
–Mahatma Gandhi

Today’s Family Life Today radio show focused on a topic that is very relevant to our lives today, especially when one considers what a litigious society we have become. Some of our litigious tendencies come from old fashioned greed, but some come from a complete lack of willingness to forgive or forget the wrongs we have suffered at the hands of others. But forgiveness can be one of the most powerful forces we can wield in our lives; so just how can we best apply the principles of forgiveness?

Ever see the movie Animal House? Would you believe that Democrats have made a line from this movie into an operating principle for their party? If you don’t now, you will soon.

For a conservative like myself to assert that the Clintons are not the problem for the Democratic Party is more than a bit controversial, but hear me out on this. In truth, the Clintons are to their party as the cough is to a cold… a mere symptom of much larger issues.
