You’ve got to hand it to Senator John F Kerry, he is consistent in his inconsistence. Earlier in the Democratic primary campaign, Senator Kerry began to parrot Howard Dean, taking credit for some of Dean’s best one-liners for President Bush which, ironically, also means that Kerry parrots Clinton as well.
Clinton, as we all know, was the master when it came to taking credit for the work of others. Everything from NAFTA and Welfare Reform to the “dot com” explosion were his to exploit. Of course, everything after the “dot com” bubble burst was all George Bush’s fault.
But I digress…
Now, Senator Kerry borrows yet another page from the Dean Book-o’-Politics with this letter to President Bush:

Is there any issue, major or minor, that Senator John F Kerry has not flip-flopped on? I think you would be hard-pressed to find one. But for those of us who will be spending the next seven months pointing out all of his “subtle” shifts on every issue imaginable, its going to be fun!
Here is a case in point:

This excerpted from the Wall Stree Journal’s online commentary site, Opinionjournal.com. The quote comes directly from the Best of The Web Today section:
Great Orators of the Democratic Party
“One man with courage makes a majority.”–Andrew Jackson
“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”–Franklin Roosevelt
“The buck stops here.”–Harry Truman
“Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”–John Kennedy
“We don’t need a president who just says ‘Gentlemen, start your engines.’ We need a president who says ‘America, let’s start the economy and put people back to work.’ “–John Kerry

Less than a day after the Drudge Report led with this headline: CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN, and already accusations of “Republican dirty tricks” are being made by the Kerry Campaign and liberal media sources all over the world. Their attempt, of course, is to smear the Bush Campaign with their own scandal.
The only problem is, nothing could be further from the truth. Furthermore, if the rumors of Kerry’s affair are true, the world will soon know that the Bush Campaign has been unfairly smeared and Kerry will look even worse than he does now.
Why would Republicans in general and Bush in particular leave this one alone? Three reasons:

Is there another major scandal brewing in the Democratic Party? The Drudge Report posted this message to DrudgeReport.com today:
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
You had better believe that other campaigns are buzzing at the news of this possibility. The best place to gain intelligence on the minds and hearts of a campaign is to visit Howard Dean’s Blog For America website where, beyond all common sense, Dean continues to allow his avid supporters to post their fears, hopes, and deluded dreams of a Dean presidency. What have they been saying about the Drudge Report article? Lets take a look.

I hate to say “I told you so yet again,” but, I told you so. In a January 13 post entitled, The Blogo-Sphere of Influence, I made these points regarding Dean’s reliance on the Internet as his secret campaign weapon:

Recent articles, both at Blogcritics.org, as well as on other sites, attempt to perpetuate the myth that President Bush was a deserter during his term of service in the Air National Guard, which began in 1968 shortly after his graduation from Yale. One partisan site, Democrats.com, purports to give us the “facts” surrounding the President’s military service.
However, after only a few minutes reading the Democrats.com materials, it became clear that what I was actually reading was a woeful misrepresentation of the real facts in an attempt to smear the President in every way possible. The material they’ve posted commits three journalistic sins. First, it takes rumor and innuendo and attempts to present them as facts. Second, the writers do not give all the facts, rather, they ignore any facts that contradict their pet theories. Third, the writers go way beyond any kind of evidence available in order to turn this into a full-blown conspiracy theory elaborate enough to impress even the now-defunct Soviet intelligence agency, the KGB!
What are the real facts surrounding Bush’s service in the Air National Guard? Lets take a look.
