David,

I agree with you regarding the technology and services. I'm an XM subscriber now and I wouldn't leave XM to go to Sirius if Don and Mike made the move.

I have the TAO XM2GO portable set and it's terrific. I love being able to record some of the talk shows that I want so that I can catch up with them later.

Thanks for your comments.

david,

xm's equipment is way better than sirius'. xm's programming is also better. sirius has put too much money in people and none in technology. yeah don and mike are funny, but good luck getting a signal to hear them, because sirius signal stinks

Squeaky,

Well, I'm not sure what you mean regarding "disappointment" when it comes to the S50. The thing will allow you to record up to 50 HOURS of content! That's just a teensy bit better than the XM MyFi units. And the S50 seems to work just like the MyFi. You'll have to elaborate for me.

I originally went with XM because their conservative talk lineup was better. The centerpiece of their lineup, in my opinion, was Michael Medved.

Then Medved's show was dumped some months ago, at which time I decided to dump XM. I called them and let them know that Medved was the primary reason I signed up and the primary reason for my departure.

Thanks!

ow that Sirius has portable units better than XM? What units? What units does Sirius have that let you listen to Sirius in Real time AND save up to 5 hours like TiVo? The S50 was a lot of promise and no delivery.

If you have to 'download' or save then it is not a protable unit, it is a glorified audio VCR. If it is not in real time like in your car, it is not better.
