When Joe Biden (D-DE) was asked recently of planned Democratic actions if the President should make good on his promise to veto of emergency spending bill which Democrats loaded with pork-barrell spending as well as a timetable for troop withdrawal from Iraq, he replied at one point that “we’re going to shove it down his throat.“
If you would like to see his shameful response for yourself, just click on the image below or go here.
Why should this kind of behavior be acceptable from any elected official? It is not acceptable from an average citizen. As a matter of fact, posting this kind of language on the Internet might just result in a call from the Secret Service… and rightly so!
And this from Democrats who are playing at politics with funding for our troops, holding up the delivery of the bill to the President so that he receives it on the four-year anniversary of his speech declaring the end of major combat operations in Iraq. They are using this as a political stunt, and enjoying themselves while our military scrambles to find the money needed to keep soldiers in the field properly equipped.
Biden is utterly without class and his party has clearly put politics before patriotism on their list of priorities. Very sad.

What a strain it must be for you to believe that Biden meant this literally rather than in the cliched sense in which it is usually meant. Please…

Sam,
I don’t think he meant it literally. Biden is not stupid, or violent that I’ve ever seen. My issue is with the kind of language he’s using here. For an average person like you or I, making such a statement would probably get us fired from our jobs.
At the very least, we’d be reprimanded for what is clearly unprofessional behavior. What would Biden have said if President Bush threatened to take Biden’s Iraq legislation and ram it down his throat? I’m thinking that Biden would go immediately to the press and turn it into an international incident.
Perhaps I’m old fashioned this way, but I just kind of expect better from our elected officials; Democrats and Republicans. To borrow a theme from Democrats, “we can do better.”
Thanks for your visit.
Regards,
David
