McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes. Friends marvel at McCain’s encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He’s an avid fan - Ted Williams is his hero - but he can’t raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball.
So, to all those high-paid Obama staffers, and Senator Obama himself, I have a message. Obviously you can use computers, and Blackberries, and all the cool toys most of us use these days. Perhaps, though, before mocking a disabled veteran, you should learn to use your brains.
Just a thought!

The Obamatrons argue that if Stephen Hawking can use a computer, so can McCain.
What they ignore is that it takes adaptive equipment and time spent in Occupational Therapy learning to use it for a person with certain disabilities to use a computer.
McCain has other ways of meeting his communication and information needs. Hawking does not. So for Hawking, investing money and time in becoming computer-capable made sense. It didn’t for McCain.
So what Obama is saying is that people with disabilities ought to use the adaptive strategies that HE PERSONALLY APPROVES, not what they and their doctors think is best for them.
Another example of Democrats wanting to micro-manage your life.

Christina,
First of all, I love the term “Obamatron.”
Secondly, I agree wholeheartedly with your points. How often did former President Clinton use a computer? How often does President Bush?
You see, Obama carries a Blackberry and he looks very trendy to a lot of people, but objects don’t make a leader. That’s why the ad falls flat in the first place. But add on top of that the fact they went forward with such a lame ad and didn’t think at all about the fact that Senator McCain has literally given his body for his country; that’s the lamest, shallowest, saddest part of this whole issue.
Senator Obama, who approved the ad, should apologize immediately. If he makes excuses, he’ll look even worse.
Regards,
David

McCain has voted against aid for veterans several times, so what good are his tears? And one of his staffers claimed that McCain helped to invent the Blackberry. Let’s not be offended by a legitimate criticism.
By the way, how did we do in that war that McCain was injured in? Did we win?
So may lies, so little time. Try to have some respect for the American people.

CT,
McCain has voted against some bills that have veteran’s benefits in them because they were also loaded with tons of pork. If you know anything about McCain it’s that he hates pork and he never supports earmarks.
The last bill that he voted against that had veteran’s benefits in there was a perfect case in point. My question would be this; why are Democrats willing to use our veterans as an excuse to send more pork barrel projects to their home states?
Have some respect and take care of the vets. Don’t use a bill supporting vets for the wrong reason, which is what Democrats were doing. McCain, at least, had enough integrity to vote against the bill.
Regards,
David
